From this page you could access every online birth database for the state of Michigan, such as birth records, Michigan birth certificates, birth notices, Michigan birth indexes, and other vital records.
The Michigan Department of Community Health, The Vital Records Office maintains records for vital events such as births, marriages, and deaths that happened in the state since 1867.
An authenticated record is usually needed by a foreign government for work visas, adoption, or establishing residency. But remember that it is not required for foreign travel.
Only following individuals can order a certified copy of a birth certificate:
- The person named on the certificate
- The parent of the person
- A legal guardian of the person
- A legal representative who represents the person

The fee for a records search and issuance of a certified copy (in case of existence) is $26.00 which is non-refundable. Please wait up to 4-6 weeks to receive your certified copy.
You can also go the above address in person to request a certified copy. The opening hours of the office are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, everyday except weekends and state holidays.
