Search Missouri birth records

From this page you could access every online birth database for the state of Missouri, such as Missouri birth records, birth certificates, Missouri birth indexes, Missouri birth notices, and other Missouri vital records.

Missouri birth certificates from 1910 to the present are maintained by The Bureau of Vital Records. The database has more than 185,000 records from 87 counties. It includes this information about birth: name of child, place and date of birth, race and sex; residence, nationality and ages of parents, full name and occupation of father, mother’s maiden name, etc.

The birth database is produced by the efforts of more than 400 volunteers contributing over 17,500 hours to this project since 1999. They transcribed the information found on the print copies of the microfilmed records and returned them to the Missouri State Archives for online use.

Discrepancies or errors in this database might be the result of illegible or incomplete original birth records. In case any errors occur, the original record will be checked with by the Archives staff. If a data entry mistake has caused the error, they will correct the database to have the accurate information. If the original record has the error, staff will not alter the database information, because it is retrieved from original archival records and cannot be modified.
